Another child dies because of stupidity

If you have a LTCF why would you leave it in the car with curious children? It's too bad this man had to learn about complacency and common sense the hard way. I really feel bad for him and his family, a tragic loss.

Here in Washington State we have had two children die in one week due to carelessness by adults and curious children. People, this is easy. If you have a gun in the house for personal protection and you have children, use a child proof lock/trigger guard, gun vault or "Safety Bullets" and follow the directions for whatever one you use. If you have a CCL and are traveling with children while strapped, keep the god dam gun on your person in a good quality holster - there is no excusable reason to leave it under your car seat or in the glove box. Also, teach your children about guns, how to be safe around them and eliminate the mystique that compels kids to pick one up and explore it.

Seems like I hear about these type of stories 2 or 3 times a week. Education is one thing, but at 2,3 ,or 4 years old that's really not the answer. Securing it is 100% effective even if it's with the cheapest option available when it comes to kids in this age group. Is it peoples stupidity or that they are too cheap to spend $30.00 to keep this from happening over and over? Just doesn't make any sense to me!

There are some people, parents who should not be allowed to breed. Period. We with children are supposed to protect our own first and foremost, not put them in harms way. Sad.:bad:
