An interesting obituary

In 1887 Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the
University of Edinburgh , had this to say about the fall of the
Athenian Republic some 2,000 years prior: "A democracy is always
temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent
form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until
the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous
gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority
always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from
the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally
collapse over loose fiscal policy, (which is) always followed by a
dictatorship."

"The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the
beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200
years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:

From bondage to spiritual faith;
From spiritual faith to great courage;
From courage to liberty;
From liberty to abundance;
From abundance to complacency;
From complacency to apathy;
From apathy to dependence;
From dependence back into bondage."
The Obituary follows:

Born 1776, Died 2016
It doesn't hurt to read this several times.
Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law in
St. Paul, Minnesota, points out some interesting facts concerning
the last Presidential election:
Number of States won by: Obama: 19 Romney: 29
Square miles of land won by: Obama: 580,000 Romney: 2,427,000
Population of counties won by: Obama: 127 million Romney: 143 million
Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by:
Obama: 13.2 Romney: 2.1

Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory
Romney won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country.

Obama territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in low
income tenements and living off various forms of government
welfare..."

Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the
"complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of
democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population
already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase..

If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million
criminal invaders called illegal’s - and they vote - then we can say
goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years.

I think about this now and then - is it maybe the world's greatest empires rather than civilizations or nations that last a couple hundred years? Nations like China, India, Russia, many of the countries in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (an Ethiopian friend once pointed out to me that Ethiopia is the 2nd country to be named in the
Bible). Some might think these are communist or socialist countries, but India is one of the world's oldest and true democracies. I wonder if these countries that have been around so long have learned something that we've missed ?

Could it possibly be that India does not subsidize those who won't work and make babies just to have an increase in welfare payments? Could it be that India does not allow illegal immigration and the payment of subsidies to aliens? Could it be that India does not waste it's money giving to other nations who hate them like the U.S. does? Maybe Ethiopia is such a poor nation that it has maintained it's status quo for millennia. The document posted by Stan45 fits the condition of our nation and it is getting worse. The document is factual, not fiction, and our government (or excuse for government) has allowed it and fostered programs that have led to our soon demise. No need to complain about it now, we are too far gone!

(Romans 1:28) "And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what should not be done". Our government is Of The People, By The People and For the People, therefor, the greatest danger to America is it's citizens. We have met the enemy, and they are us.

All are Signs of the End of the Age & This Last Generation. Being that ISRAEL is God's Prophetic Timepiece, the stage is set for the wars of Psalm 83/Isaiah 17 & Ezekiel 38-39 to take place easily before the end of 2015. You're right OG, we are too far gone! "Those who call evil good and good evil are as good as dead" (Isaiah 5:20). “The fear (reverence) of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction”(Proverbs 1:7). As stated before, by and large, we’re a nation of fools. We fear a lot of things: Losing our jobs, terrorist attacks, election outcomes and (gasp), being put in a situation that requires a moral stand for our faith, etc. But we don’t fear God. We are a people, nation and world divided in great perplexity. In the White House, Congress, and the United Nations dwells a satanic presence propagating this division, executing their part of a larger plan that will culminate in a One-World Government, religion and ruler. It’s eschatology in full-motion. Maranatha!!
