I was just wandering why everyone can't let the store restock the ammo sure for a while the gougers would buy it up but if we don't pay their price they will be stuck and won't keep doing it and you can't take it back,that would be funny! plus then our shelves would go back to being full again and be an awesome site again. All in all I think it would take about 2 months to accomplish this if we can all just control our fears,and I know this is hard.What do you all think

Then again, maybe Obama can get one of his czars on this and pass another unconstitutional executive order that makes it mandatory that you must report how much ammo you have and if it is over say 3 dozen rounds, you cannot buy more. That'll make the gun control freaks kind of happy

I don't buy ammo at outrageous prices. I do a lot more dry fire practice and less live round practice. I don't enjoy being screwed by anyone.

In a country created to only function properly under a capitalist system, I don't even understand the word "gouger." If someone wants to make a buck on merchandise that is hard to find, and they can afford the wholesale price to bring it to the consumer market at a profit, more power to them. If their price is too rich for my blood, I use my capitalistic brain to discern that I can't afford it and either find another seller with a better deal, or wait out the market to stabilize, which it may or may not ever do again, but which even then, I planned ahead before there was a "crisis," so it'll be a long damned time before I run out of ammo anyway.

I have found a way around the shortage. I am a member at the local range/gun store, and they always have ammo available in pretty much every caliber (and at reasonable prices since it is just FMJ) even when their ammo shelves are bare in the store. They limit you to 100 rds per caliber, per visit; being a member it costs me nothing to show up and shoot except the price of ammo.

I stop by at least once a week, get the limit on the caliber's I need, fire off about 50 from my CC weapon, then take the rest home. This lets me practice in the woods where I can actually draw and fire (not allowed at range) or take the kids shooting.

If you were wondering, the membership costs $125 a year. But when you buy a gun from them you get a punch card for 10 free ($10) trips to the range, which can be traded in so the membership only costs $25. Pretty sweet deal, considering it also get's you free gun "rentals" to try out anything else you want to buy.

I also agree with Bluestringer, there is no ammo shortage at my house.Ever since the current POTUS took office, i would buy 40- 50.00 worth of ammo every 2 weeks.Once things get back to normal, i'll continue to do so.I'm not paying .80 per round for .223 ammo.

I've been planning ahead for a few years now... I've got no shortages, only surpluses. Some here, some there... a bulk buy or two every other month and before you knew it I was swimming in rounds. I've also got the hook up that can't be disclosed for the NSA to view, but, I've got a steady supply of "un-gouged" ammo. Hate me haters, heh heh.
