Hey Itch: Chill a bit. Walmart is probably one of the few retailers who will give you a truthful and fair price on literally everything in the store. If the price has doubled, guess what---probably their cost has doubled. My firearm of choice is an FN 5.7X28. I have 12 boxes of 50 rounds of the ammo that I purchased for $20 from Cabelas. Current going prices on this ammo from my gunshop ($55) and on the internet ($60-70) are crazy. Heck my firearm alone that I paid $900 for less than a year ago is now going for $1600-2000. Go the Cabelas website or any of the gun sites and you are lucky if you can find ANY ammo of any caliber for sale---when there were 10 or 20 choices several months ago, there are now maybe 1 or 2 choices and they are more premium ammo and not target stuff. This is not a Walmart issue, it is a fascist moslem issue who uses "gun control" etal to keep people's minds off the real issues of the day (debt and spending) that are sinking this country--as the posters in my gunshop show, the real gun salesman of the year is none other than the piece of garbage in the whitehouse---if you then buy a gun, you have to buy the ammo and wallah--supply and demand kick in. My understanding is that ammo makers are working 24/7 but there has been such a rush on guns that ammo inventories/supplies are not there anymore, even for Walmart.
