Ammo Increased and In Stock

Well i was pleased to see my local walmart here in TN has increased 3 box of ammo per customer. Looks like it is getting a little better i was able to pick some up.

3 box 38
3 box 40
3 box 45
3 box 380
3 box 9mm

It took me a week and I am still pretty low on stocking and storing but getting there with time. The key is getting there early in the morning people he he

I went to my walmart today and they had PLENTY of 9mm and 40 SW FMJ. They only allowed three boxes total.

I then went to the range over lunch and they had plenty of 22LR CCI Mini Mags. They were expensive at 12.00 per hundred and they would only let me buy 2 boxes but at least I found them.

The drought may not be over but there are at least some clouds on the horizon.

Walmart in my area is still rationing ammmo if they have it. Gander Mountain however in my area has loaded up or atleast they did today. More Ammo than I have seen in two months. Lots of 9mm which has been in very short supply. Bought 2000 rounds. 26 cents a round. 40 SW is still high price and 45 auto is fair I think, but atleast they have ammo and quite a bit of it. Planning on going the range this weekend, It's been six weeks since the last visit to target practice. I am happy............

You are lucky to have a Gander Mt. Wish we had one. My Wal Mart has no 9mm no .40 no .45 no .380 no 5.56 they did have 2 boxs of .32.

I was told today by a former student of mine who works at our local WalMart that there is plenty of ammo coming into the store - it gets there around 2AM to 4AM in the morning by WalMart truck two days a week. BUT the Managers and the other employees are allowed to buy all they want, and to call their family and friends who are allowed to come in if they want to to buy the rest. None is reaching the floor due to this backroom buying that is going on here. There are signs up limiting purchases on the floor to three boxes per day, but nothing is reaching the floor. CCI .22 ammo was selling for $15 per 100 box this past weekend at the local flea market, where I heard several "dealers" say that they are buying it through a family member or friend who works at the local Walmart. Several of them got upset with me when I told them that they could eat their overpriced CCI .22 ammo before I'd buy any from them.
I have quit financially supporting WalMart - if I can't find what I want/need at another store, I'll now do without it before going into Walmart ever again!

UKCatfan, if that is true them they are SERIOUSLY violating company policy. I work for Walmart and we are not allowed to buy it before it hits the floor. It has to be made available to the customer for 24hrs before we can buy it. Might wanna call and complain. I'm able to buy one box of 9mm ever two weeks if I'm lucky

40 and 9 may be short as it is very popular, 45 on the other hand just bought another 1,000 rounds.

Our WM is still out of ammo and they don't know when they will get more in.

If you wanted .30-30's the local WM had 6 boxes. One box each of .38's, .40's, .45's, and three boxes of .270 Winchester. Maybe half a dozen each of .22 mags, and 17's. And that is more than they had last week.

Nothing to speak of at my local Walmart so back to Gander Mountain. Plenty of .45 Auto. just high dollar in the 50 rnd boxes. They have 500 round bulk boxes for 216.00, very good price when compared to the rest of the stuff on the shelf. The 9mm went very fast though, still a half dozen of 1000 round boxes left. I found one box of .40 S&W (650 rnds.) Never had seen it before. 239.00. Yeh I bought a box. Have run out of ammo cans and room to store any more so will back off for a while and see what happens, OK i'll probably go back tomorrow and see if the bulk .45 is still there and buy another box or two. That's it for now I swear. At least that's what I am going to tell my wife.

Just stopped by my walmart. They have nothing in the afternoon but have some in the morning. Just picked up 3 100 round packs of Remington .40. They also had a lot of 7.62x39 and quite a bit .223.

They guy I spoke to even said they were starting to get some .22 in but it is getting snapped up at night.
