American ammo

Ok, a friend of mine gave me a box of ammo from a company called American Ammo out of Florida. Does anyone know anything about it and do you think it is safe to use.They are fmj and they apear to be ok.

i don't know and i live in florida the only way you going to know is to test fire a few rounds best wishes but i'd rather patronize the smaller more local companies than the larger companies

I googled it "American Ammunition" and several responses claimed it is very cheaply made stuff, some comments were...the brass is 'crap'...several FTF and FTE...uneven charges in same box (some heavy charges, some light loads)... actually, here's the url for some of the responses that basically constitute a DO NOT USE in my opinion... American Ammunition, Inc. Good? - THR

if you got it for free, its probably not worth the price to fire it!

Other than what I just read about it, I don't have any personal experience, but, ... but good luck either way...
