America in Prophecy​

“Woe unto them that join house to house, that lay field to field, till there be no place, that they may be placed alone in the midst of the earth!” Isaiah 5:8. Does this verse pique your interest at all? Although Isaiah is addressing the Southern Kingdom of Israel, referred to as Judah, America should see a very striking resemblance in regards to her own current state of affairs in this and the following Scriptures.

Israel was used by God as an example for other nations to follow, at this point in chapter 5 of Isaiah’s writings the Northern Kingdom of Israel was probably already gone, conquered by the Assyrians, and the Southern Kingdom of Judah was on the fast track toward becoming captives in Babylon. They had set an example alright, but it was anything but godly. The entire world once looked to America for leadership. God’s hand was on America to be an example to people of other nations on how to live godly lives. Such should be the responsibility of prosperous nations. But America, like Israel, began to fall from God’s grace when she began to lead in a manner that is diametrically opposed to the God of all creation. What more can God do but speak woes – alas, the inevitable has arrived on the shores of America as well as everywhere in between, and learning from past history has never been a strong point for Americans.

Is America in Bible prophecy? The verse above speaks of those who have greedily amassed land, houses, and much more materialistic nonsense to themselves than they can ever use. They are never satisfied, thus they become inflamed with the desire to increase their holdings. They’re like the drug addict who can never get enough highs. America today has just such an attitude towards abundance; we are the most materialistic nation on earth. This gluttony of materialism has left us deliriously seeking what we don’t need and can’t use. Through all this extremely covetous existence the only thing waning, and in many cases not sought after at all is our love for Jesus and for our fellow man.

In this abundant land of America, even many of our poorest families live like kings when compared to the living conditions of many people in other nations. I once read of a diplomat from China who came to see for himself what America was all about. He told those he traveled America with that we (American’s) are a most prosperous people. His quote went something like this “There are nicer things and in greater abundance in your garbage dumps than what most Chinese people accumulate in a lifetime”.

“In mine ears said the LORD of hosts, Of a truth many houses shall be desolate, even great and fair, without inhabitant.” Isaiah 5:9. As God pours out His judgment on America it’s not hard to see that this verse is now coming to pass just as Isaiah prophesied would occur concerning Judah. The RSV translates this verse thusly “The LORD of hosts has sworn in my hearing: “Surely many houses shall be desolate, large and beautiful houses, without inhabitant.” Many of America’s once most populated and productive cities are now nothing more than cesspools of filth, as they become more and more uninhabitable. Don’t believe me? Take a look at Cleveland, Baltimore, and the Michigan cities of Detroit and Flint to name but a few; these cities are deteriorating waste lands. Many cities all over the US are either currently filing for bankruptcy or contemplating filling.

Detroit, once the automotive manufacturing Mecca of the US, is now rampant with crime. Right now you can buy a house in Detroit for as little as $500.00 – that is if you want to live in the middle of crime central USA. I read on a blog recently that the city of Detroit will give you a home just for keeping the weeds cut around the house. The vacant lots, which are now quite numerous in Detroit, have become dumping grounds for dead bodies. Incredibly, many American cities are treading on similar ground.

Reno, Nevada, a city once bulging with visitors gambling away their hard earned wages like drunken sailors, is now on the verge of financial collapse. Homes and businesses have remained vacant since the recession of 2008. There are new subdivisions around Reno that are ghost towns “many houses shall be desolate, large and beautiful houses, without inhabitant”. This once admired and coveted city has been turned upside down. Reno has now acquired a new nickname. Once known as “Biggest Little City in the World”, it is now known as “The Meth Capital of America”. My friends, America is not becoming a more prosperous nation by any stretch of the imagination, we’ve allowed ourselves to be turned into a society of dummied down individuals greedily awaiting our next government handout.

“Yea, ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath, and the seed of an homer shall yield an ephah.” Isaiah 5:10. If these scriptures hold a prophetic future for America, and I believe they do, then what we see occurring in America is very scary indeed. There will be little in the way of fruits and vegetables produced in our near future in accordance to the availability of land mass. Famine will increase as crops begin to produce far below their normal output. Could it be that America’s crop lands will no longer feed the national populous? When there’s not enough food to go around watch what happens to a civilized nation. America is currently the number one exporter of food to other nations; what will happen in those foreign lands when America’s food production becomes insufficient even for Americans? The government may use its fiat power of creating money to help farmers and ranchers in the US stave off bankruptcy, but they can’t create food out of thin air.

“Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; that continue until night, till wine inflames them!” Isaiah 5:11. Alcoholism, drug addiction, and crime are now consuming the masses here in America. Many people just want to stay high or drunk all the time. People who ignore or turn away from their God have no hope so they seek it from drugs and alcohol, and there are always adverse consequences to those bad decisions, not to mention they are never satisfied.

“And the harp, and the viol, the tabret, and pipe, and wine, are in their feasts: but they regard not the work of the LORD, neither consider the operation of his hands.” Isaiah 5:12. America has plenty of time for foolishness, all forms of entertainment and lascivious lifestyles are promoted yet we give no credence to what God has done, or to what He is currently doing. Those who party endlessly, seeking constant entertainment, will be judged and all their laughter and amusement will cease. Watch out America “For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.” Deuteronomy 4:24. God’s principles never change.

“Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.” Isaiah 5:13. America was once the leader in promoting the gospel of Christ around the world, but in more recent years has become the world leader in promoting filth, such as pornography, homosexuality, fully funded abortion on demand, to name a few. Are not God’s children being systematically forced to live in a very hellish form of captivity right here in the good old US of A? There will be a famine and a thirst for the knowledge of God’s word, but that knowledge will become quite elusive in America’s final days.

“Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.” Isaiah 5:14. We are a nation of people who rejoice in the pomp and circumstances of our own depravity. Hell is awaiting the multitudes of the foolish to come and join the rest of the Christ rejecters. Hell was created for Satan and the angels that rebelled with him, but it has enlarged itself to accommodate the massive amount of the foolish perishing.

“And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled: But the LORD of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness. Then shall the lambs feed after their manner, and the waste places of the fat ones shall strangers eat.” Isaiah 5:15-17. As a nation, America will be humbled from the high and mighty to the least of the least. Whether or not the populous considers God relevant has no bearing on God’s exaltedness. God will be exalted and His righteous judgment will stand. God is holy and He will be glorified. The mockers and scorners have cast their lot with the devil.

“Woe unto them that draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as it were with a cart rope: “That say, Let him make speed, and hasten his work, that we may see it: and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw nigh and come, that we may know it!” Isaiah 5:18-19. These two verses are very interesting in that they describe and expose the perverse nature of a certain segment of our society today. Who is it that continually draws attention to themselves with wicked cords of vanity? Their perverse and depraved nature is always an open display as if there was no sin involved at all. Can you not see in this verse the gay pride parades flaunting themselves in front of their Creator as though to say “We regard you not”? America, what made you fall so low as to attempt to rub God’s nose in your depravity? What arrogance, flaunting their lascivious lifestyles and mocking God in their haughtiness. America, where is your heart? God will not be mocked. As God lifts His hand of protection from the land and people who once promoted His precepts with vigor, we shall see these arrogant and evil people becoming more and more inflamed in their own wickedness.

“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” Isaiah 5:20. Does this verse not describe America in its current state? Everything is upside down. What was once seen as good and godly is now disparaged, and everything that was once an aversion is now being promoted as normal and acceptable. What sorrow shall befall America as she continues to rejoice in her iniquity?

“Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.” Isaiah 5:24. Rejecting and despising God will only bring sorrow. The Northern kingdom of Israel went through many evil kings and lived many years rejecting their God. The Southern kingdom of Judah, for the most part, did likewise. Our God is patient and merciful. But ultimately God’s patients wore thin and they were punished for their iniquities. We can see this occurring again today right here in America. Prosperity has all but vanished from this once most prosperous nation. There are now just a few who hold the wealth and power of America in their hands. According to this verse, nothing that is humanly contrived and instituted will bring it back. God sees America as rotten to the core as we’ve despised His word and many have joined the ranks of the enemy. America may well be in Bible prophecy and if so God is warning of sudden, and severe judgment.

It’s not hard to see that God’s anger is just as fierce and directed at America today as it was against the Southern Kingdom of Judah. America was founded on Judeo Christian principles. The land of the free and the home of the brave can be assured that God’s mighty hand of judgment has arrived. What will become of America in these last days? What happened to that Southern Kingdom of Judah?

Can we see America in prophecy in Isaiah’s prophetic words? Certainly there are many similarities between Israel’s downfall and America’s. The Southern Kingdom of Judah and the Northern Kingdom of Israel found out the hard way what happens to those who turn their backs on God. There are always horrible and very destructive consequences to every bad decision. All the nations that have had world prominence then embraced depravation as they reached their zenith soon began a decent into oblivion. Are we watching prophecy unfolding before our eyes as America has reached her zenith and as she now descends into some very unfavorable but predictable twilight years? What an ending!

A pervasive lawlessness and immorality is engulfing every nation. Human sex trafficking that includes little babies is becoming a multi-billion dollar industry. Israel was reformed as a nation in 1948, as the ancient Hebrew prophets predicted, and the Revived Roman Empire that the prophet Daniel outlined may still arise from the chaos of the European Union. Yet, one nation seems conspicuously absent from the ancient Biblical prophecies... and that is the United States of America.

People ask me all the time, "Paul where is America in Bible prophecy?" They cannot understand how a nation as large and powerful as the United States would not be mentioned by name in the Bible. The answer to that question may simply be that America will no longer exist as a separate and distinct nation. It will either exist under a different name or America will become part of the Revived Roman Empire or coming one world government. A clue to America's prophetic destiny may be in the architecture and symbolism of our nation's capital, Washington D.C. Washington D.C. and its architectural design are built on the ideas of ancient Rome. In fact, the Capitol building is designed after the Roman Pantheon, which was dedicated not to the Judeo-Christian God, but to the pagan gods.

Through the influence of a Rosicrucian-Masonic brotherhood, Washington D.C. seems to be constructed to be the capital of Francis Bacon's vision of the New Atlantis, which is likely to become the center of the New World Order. On the back of the dollar bill we read the words Novus Ordos Seclorum, which means "New Order of the Ages" or "New World Order." These words are found below an Egyptian pyramid with the all-seeing eye of Lucifer above it, inside of a smaller pyramid. This occult symbolism signifies that in the New World Order, a Luciferian elite will rule the masses; or to use the terminology of the Fabian socialists like H.G. Wells and Bertrand Russell, a scientific elite. This is the restructuring that is going on in America right now.

Nimrod ruled the first global government in Babylon and built the Tower of Babylon as an astrological worship portal that would place men to rule like gods in the heavens. Ancient Babylon, along with its mystery religions, is the spiritual fountainhead for the New World Order. The Freemason architects astrologically aligned the U.S. capital with the constellation Virgo (Isis). There is a picture of George Washington wearing a Masonic apron during a ceremony which dedicates the Washington capitol to these unseen pagan gods or entities that were allegedly present during the ceremony.

If you look carefully at Washington's apron, you see the symbolism of a radiant eye or the all-seeing eye of Lucifer. The occult ceremony was an invitation for participation by the Egyptian god Horus or Osiris, which is the Greek god Apollo. The Roman gods Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus are an important part of astrology, but they are also the names of many of the NASA space programs. Is this merely coincidence?

It appears that America has a secret destiny planned by occult secret societies to birth a New World Order. The reason America is not seen by name in Bible prophecy is that it may appear under another name, such as Babylon. The Book of Revelation describes both a commercial and religious Babylon in the last days. Many believe that the Babylonian system is symbolic for a global spiritual system.

Russia has approximately ten thousand to fifteen thousand antiballistic missiles in its defense system. Large numbers of these missiles have computer guidance systems that are programmed to hit specific targets in the United States. What if Russian antiballistic missiles come down like rain and nukes go off in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, Denver or Dallas? Is the Cold War really over? If it is, why did Russia’s Prime Minister publicly announce plans to significantly buildup the Russian military? According to a Washington Post article by Will Englund, entitled, “Putin Promises Russian Military Buildup,” “Vladimir Putin laid out his ambitious plans … for modernizing and strengthening Russia’s defense forces over the next decade, in the face of a threatening world and a powerful United States.”

“For Russia to feel secure and for our partners to listen carefully to what our country has to say,” he wrote, Moscow must spend about $775 billion for new armaments and a more professional military.”

For decades Russia has been building up a vast network of underground bunkers and nuclear blast shelters. Some military experts secretly believe that Russia is secretly preparing for World War III. Other intelligence experts are speculating that Russia may be planning a future attack on the United States. The Russians have been storing grain, foodstuffs, gold, and oil and diesel fuel. Russian underground bunkers can store 326 million tons of grain, and their military can store up another 80 million tons of grain.

Before the Soviet Union fell, the Russian military believed that it could be possible to win a nuclear war with America, and so they have prepared for it. Russia continues to prepare for the possibility of nuclear war with the United States. Since the 1960’s the Russians have been building underground cities in case of nuclear war. Russia has a giant underground complex the size of Washington D.C., called “Evil Mountain,” or Yamantau Mountain. The purpose of “Evil Mountain” and other complexes is to enable the Russian elite to survive a nuclear war.

The Russian military is drafting by the fall, at least 50 thousand men to join the Russian army. Russia is also setting up new naval bases, including bases in Vietnam and Cuba. In 1962, President John F. Kennedy, during the Cuban Missile Crisis, demanded that Russia stop building nuclear missiles from Cuba.

A Russian Akula-class cruise-missile attack submarine recently transited the North Atlantic Ocean and operated undetected in the Gulf of Mexico. The United States did not discover this until after the submarine left. In 2009, Russia sent an attack submarine to patrol close to U.S. shores. In contrast, America under President Reagan had a 600-ship Navy. Today, America’s Navy has only 285 ships.

Russian military doctrine is primarily focused on a large scale conventional war, with NATO and China. However, a conflict with the U.S., over Israel and Iran, could lead to an accidental thermonuclear war. For example, a conflict with Iran involving Israel could lead to a military conflict in the Strait of Hormuz. The conflict may start out as conventional warfare, and this conventional warfare could “accidentally” become a regional thermonuclear war. The regional thermonuclear war could pull in the Islamic nations, NATO, and China. In a worst case scenario, the regional thermonuclear war becomes a global thermonuclear war. In this scenario, America could be hit with multiple nukes in major U.S. cities.

The U.S., Russia, Israel, Iran, India and China are selling arms to various nations. During World War I and World War II, the international bankers sold arms to both sides and made a fortune. A number of these banking dynasties are in the Federal Reserve. The international financial empires behind the drive to a one world government, one world economic system and one world religion, might use a regional thermonuclear war to bring in their one world government and economic system. People in the U.S. and around the world would support this, if it meant peace and the prevention of a global thermonuclear war.

The new military buildup in Russia, along with Iran, Israel and the Middle East, seem to indicate an eventual Ezekiel 38 scenario, where Russia, Iran and an alliance of Middle Eastern nations invade Israel. Prior to an Ezekiel 38 scenario, Russia could strike the U.S. with nuclear missiles. Remember we have disarmed and discussions like the Salt I, II and III treaties, have made us more vulnerable to a Russian attack.

America has significantly had its military superiority reduced. The possibility of a Russian nuclear attack is not as far off, as one might think.

The coming nuclear attack on america

Friday February 15, 2013 a meteor ripped through the sky in central Russia sending fireballs crashing to earth. Fragments of the meteor smashed into the Chelyabinsk region, in the Ural Mountains injuring over 1,000 people. Later that same night, San Francisco Bay stargazers in America saw the blue flash of a meteor which caused a loud sonic boom as it fell, breaking apart and spreading meteorites in the North Bay. In many ways this disaster resembled a nuclear attack...a possibility for which Russia is better prepared than we are.

Friday February 15, 2013 two Russian nuclear-armed bombers circled the Western Pacific Island of Guam, equipped with nuclear-tipped missiles. The two Russian Tu-95 Bear-H strategic bombers were followed by U.S. jets that had scrambled from Andersen Air Force Base on Guam. The event occurred just hours before President Barack Obama's state of the union address.

Military analysts said the bomber incident was highly unusual and believe Moscow was sending a strategic message to Washington. The bombers flew over a thousand miles from the Russian Far East and according to Defense officials they were likely equipped with six Kh-55 or Kh-55SM cruise missiles that can hit targets up to 1,800 miles away with either a high-explosive warhead or a 200-kiloton nuclear warhead. In contrast, the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima was 13-kiloton.

Military analysts say that Guam plays a strategic role in the Pentagon's defense strategy designed to counter China's precision guided missiles, submarines and anti-satellite weapons designed to prevent the U.S. from defending its allies or keeping sea lanes open. As such Guam is a key target for China and North Korea.

There are growing tensions between China and Japan and the U.S has committed to defending Japan. The Russian bomber flight seems to be a signal of its intentions to support China in any conflict. North Korea's third underground nuclear weapons test also seems to be part of sending a coordinated signal to the U.S.

However, the U.S. appears to be ignoring the signal that Russia has been sending for decades. Vladimir Putin said "For Russia to feel secure and for our partners to listen carefully to what our country has to say, Moscow must spend about $775 billion by 2022 for new armaments and a more professional military." At the same time the United States is disarming its nuclear arsenal, as I said in my NewsWithViews.com article of October 29, 2012 entitled "The Day Russia Attacks the United States."

What if Russia does attack the United States with nuclear weapons and mushroom clouds erupt over major U.S. cities? Are we ready? In addition to military analysis, the Prophet Ezekiel in Ezekiel 38 talks about the War of Gog and Magog which many students of Biblical prophecy believe refers to Russia leading a coalition of forces along with Iran in a military invasion of Israel.

The invader, apparently Russia, is clearly identified in Ezekiel 38 as a military superpower.

However, although some scholars believe that the United States is referenced in Bible prophecy, if it is, it is not clear. There are some scholars who believe that America is Babylon. But most scholars do not see the United States mentioned clearly in Bible prophecy and the question is "why?" As I have explained in my 3-DVD series "Are You Ready?" America may simply merge into the coming one world government that seems to be approaching quickly. However, some scholars suggest, with ominous overtones, that America is not mentioned in the prophecy because it will no longer exist.

Russia has enough nuclear fire power to destroy the United States. Their nuclear submarines keep popping up in our coastal waters and their nuclear armed Navy has bases in both Cuba and Venezuela. Simultaneously, the U.S. is disarming. What if America experiences a crisis, such as a terrorist attack, asteroid impact, EMP attack, or financial collapse? Would Russia, knowing it has overwhelming nuclear power, attack the United States with nuclear weapons?

I don't know about you, but I think it is time to stop living in denial and do a lot of soul searching. In ancient Israel they used to have watchmen who climbed into towers to keep a look out for the enemy. Today the watchmen appear to be our military analysts and intelligence experts. That is because America as a whole does not seem to believe in God anymore. But, although some would disagree with me, I don't believe the Biblical role of the watchman is over. I think that a small number of watchmen have been faithfully blowing the trumpet. But the leaders of secular society and even many of the church leaders make every attempt to marginalize these watchmen.

What if suddenly a rainstorm of Russian nuclear missiles was fired into our cities and, from the West Coast to East Coast, America began to burn with a nuclear fire? Today "fire and brimstone" preachers are mocked by some of the mega-church celebrity preachers. But Russia doesn't laugh and Moscow never sleeps. From Russia with love!
