Unfortunately, no one has the guts to act, would you act if someone had an organized movement against the Government? Would you kiss your wife and child on the head and say what could possibly be the last good-bye for a chance at freedom? Would you take up arms against a Government so hell bent on taking your god given rights, even if it were your own?
Strong things to ponder. Most of us just sit at home, watch this happen on the TV, then write about our anger to elected politicians who have absolutely no interest in what you have to say. They have the power, we do not.
Our 1st, 2nd, 4th and 9th Amendments have been raped and pillaged, what have we done about it? Almost nothing sadly.
You have to ask yourself right now, if I, or anyone else called to arms and declared war on our own nation, would you stand with me, or anyone else? Would you go? Would you fight?
Reason I ask is 240 years ago people began speaking such things, people were tired of the tyranny from England, and 228 years ago, someone actually did something about it, i.e the American Revolution. Now, our issue is much greater, our tyrant is here, its our elected officials, I fear there is no true American spirit left in most Americans. Most people are interested in the newest Iphone, American Idol and who John is dating rather than freedom, liberty and sacrifice. But, I bring this up because, I am frustrated with our elected officials, never have they listened to the Average American. They sit in DC and go on their fancy vacations, each of them contributing to the American debt, each of them wiping their ***** with our Constitution.
What would our founding fathers think if we could go back 230 years? I feel they would be ashamed of our Government and our people...
A famous quote from Thomas Jefferson comes to mind "... There has been one rebellion. That comes to one rebellion in a century and a half for each state. What country ever existed a century and a half without a rebellion? And what country can preserve it's liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is it's natural manure. Our Convention has been too much impressed by the insurrection of Massachusets: and in the spur of the moment they are setting up a kite to keep the hen yard in order. I hope in god this article will be rectified before the new constitution is accepted." - Thomas Jefferson to William Stephens Smith, Paris, 13 Nov. 1787"
How many more laws will congress pass and a President sign, knowing its violates our Constitution? How many will we let them get away with?
I dont want anyone to think I am a careless person who just craves blood. I am quite the opposite, and I promise, I am not the next Jeffery Dommer (sp) I am just a family man, I have a wife, a new born son, much like most of you. I served in the US Army for 5 years, my brother served in the Marine Corps for 4 years, both have served overseas, we have both "fought for freedom," and I love what my country symbolizes, not what it is, well anymore.
Anyhow, you have to ask yourself, please, are you a "dooer" or a "talker."
