America has failed...Or has it?

Unfortunately, no one has the guts to act, would you act if someone had an organized movement against the Government? Would you kiss your wife and child on the head and say what could possibly be the last good-bye for a chance at freedom? Would you take up arms against a Government so hell bent on taking your god given rights, even if it were your own?
Strong things to ponder. Most of us just sit at home, watch this happen on the TV, then write about our anger to elected politicians who have absolutely no interest in what you have to say. They have the power, we do not.
Our 1st, 2nd, 4th and 9th Amendments have been raped and pillaged, what have we done about it? Almost nothing sadly.

You have to ask yourself right now, if I, or anyone else called to arms and declared war on our own nation, would you stand with me, or anyone else? Would you go? Would you fight?

Reason I ask is 240 years ago people began speaking such things, people were tired of the tyranny from England, and 228 years ago, someone actually did something about it, i.e the American Revolution. Now, our issue is much greater, our tyrant is here, its our elected officials, I fear there is no true American spirit left in most Americans. Most people are interested in the newest Iphone, American Idol and who John is dating rather than freedom, liberty and sacrifice. But, I bring this up because, I am frustrated with our elected officials, never have they listened to the Average American. They sit in DC and go on their fancy vacations, each of them contributing to the American debt, each of them wiping their ***** with our Constitution.
What would our founding fathers think if we could go back 230 years? I feel they would be ashamed of our Government and our people...

A famous quote from Thomas Jefferson comes to mind "... There has been one rebellion. That comes to one rebellion in a century and a half for each state. What country ever existed a century and a half without a rebellion? And what country can preserve it's liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is it's natural manure. Our Convention has been too much impressed by the insurrection of Massachusets: and in the spur of the moment they are setting up a kite to keep the hen yard in order. I hope in god this article will be rectified before the new constitution is accepted." - Thomas Jefferson to William Stephens Smith, Paris, 13 Nov. 1787"

How many more laws will congress pass and a President sign, knowing its violates our Constitution? How many will we let them get away with?
I dont want anyone to think I am a careless person who just craves blood. I am quite the opposite, and I promise, I am not the next Jeffery Dommer (sp) I am just a family man, I have a wife, a new born son, much like most of you. I served in the US Army for 5 years, my brother served in the Marine Corps for 4 years, both have served overseas, we have both "fought for freedom," and I love what my country symbolizes, not what it is, well anymore.
Anyhow, you have to ask yourself, please, are you a "dooer" or a "talker."

I really believe that we could be getting close to an uprising.... our govt is walking all over us, the people.

Be careful! Bloomberg and others have agents on forums such as these.

All that has been done so far is a bunch of rhetoric stirring up hysteria. 24-7 for weeks now.

The House is the only chance we have to stop what the media and Feinstein are ginning up.
The Senate Majority will do what their anti friends tell them to do.

The House got to come home for a few days to hear what their constituents say, but alas they too have been called back to fantasy land in DC, to stop Bill Clinton's Tax hike from being re instituted. (gee in 1993 they were hailed by the media and when G. Bush tired to repeal them he was destroyed by the same media and the dems made the temporary)
You would almost think that someone doesn't want them talking to their people back home. Hmmmmmm?
Anyway :
We have the Constitution on our side.
We have the disconnect between the empty suits of the talking head class who's only real concern is getting invited to the next social event.
I mean really, wake up.
How many of you or people you know are like those self centered beeeaches in the "Housewives" series or live you life like a Kardashian.
I am willing to bet that except for the Trolls, no one is even close to living like these people do. But to the media types that lifestyle is the norm.

There really are more of us than them.
Now look at the stats below…..
Based upon surveys, the following are estimates of private firearm ownership in the U.S. as of 2010:
Households With a Gun Adults Owning a Gun Adults Owning a Handgun
Percentage 40-45% 30-34% 17-19%
Number 47-53 million 70-80 million 40-45 million

Assuming that Households means 2. 25 voters per household.
That means that the gun block could be 105,750,000 to 119,250,000 voters.
Damn – Only 123,714,407 voted in the 2012 election and just 50.6%
Voted for Obama. Remember this the next time you hear these bastards talk about a mandate!

If 70 to 80 million adults own a gun and 60% of them have spouse or voting age kid that is somewhere between
115,500,000 and 132,000,000 voters.

What I am trying to say is there are more gun voters than all the people that voted in the last election.
We must go through the legal constitutional process and make sure it is now overshadowed by the hysteria.

The rhetoric is controlled by elitist editors and "show" producers in New York City.
Do you have to let your congress person know your feelings? Yes you do! IN SPADES!
I have been preaching this and working with 2A Action groups trying to get gun owners off their butts for years.
The apathy and division appalls me.
After the last election I was ready to quit too and be like most of them.
I have decided not to quit yet and give it one more try, as this may be the last chance.

America works for me, ok at least half at last check, keep it legal, contact your friends, family, senator, congressman and stay on them, my weapon is to be used to protect myself my family and if necessary America from all enemies foreign and DOMESTIC. Those without guns are protected by those with guns ie: police, military. Guns are not now or have ever been a thing to fear unless you are DEFENSELESS. This country was founded by people with their own guns (remember militia) banding together to fight the British.
I will not release my rights, or my weapons without a fight. Take this for whatever you think it is worth.

I agree with the both of you. I read a forum last night where Obama signed another HB that violated the 1st Amendment making it illegal to have a peaceful protest outside of any Government function, or at least that is the way it was read, on top of Fiensteins proposed gun ban, and "mandatory" gun buy back program, so this was kind of a spin off of the combination of the two frustrations. I hope Bloombergs cronies read what I had wrote, and I hope the talk scares the bajesus out of our Government, its been too long they have gone without fear of its people, the Government machine in DC assumes we will just roll over and accept what ever jibberish they throw at us.
Either way, thanks for your feed back.

I'd rather not go there, until it is time to go there. Don't know what I'd do in the wake of tyrannical government operations. It's one of those hypothetical scenarios that we all hope will never happen.

I assume you meant "gun owners" instead of "gun voters".

Somehow gun owners must be educated. Most do not care....sad but true. Hard to tell how many here actually do....you would hope it would be nearly 100% considering the main purpose of this forum, but I am not encouraged by the sickeningly small number of participants in the "2A" and "Politics" forums.

Its tough for me to approach more than a relatively small circle as there are no local ranges, and one very poor sporting goods store who most likely would not appreciate my hanging around talking to their customers. But I have made sure that the 150 or so gun owners I come in contact with weekly understand what is at stake, and many of them are doing their part of educating others. All of my Facebook "friends" get an education from me whether they want it or not.

I wish it were easy, but people do not want to know the underlying problem, much less want to hear that people want to take their rights. Since people inherently do not trust the government, you'd think it would be easier...but the amount of distrust does not equal the amount of distrust that people should have.

I think mostly they just don't want to think about bad things. they'd rather watch football, baseball, basketball, NASCAR, Survivor, American Idol, NCIS, golf, or whatever worthless pastime they have. (my pastime is educating people....I am beginning to think that it is a worthless pastime too)

I agree with you 100% as why I say, the good ol' American Patriot is dead, the word is thrown around loosely anymore, much like the word Honor or Politician =] Our rights will go the way of England, and those who fight will become known as domestic terrorists and All of America will scream for tighter laws, until one day, an innocent man will defend his life, kill 1 home invader and injure the other, be sentenced to years in prison while the surviving home invader walks free, only then will something begin to happen, and well go about our lives...Sad but true, there is no more patriotism left among the General public.
I educate people when I can, most of the time, falls on deaf ears, or someone takes interest until Survivor pops on and I lose them. Almost worthless anymore.

the system must completely fail before we can again rebuild. This is the stage we are in.... a slippery slope downward.
