Amazon Expedition

You just signed on for a scientific expedition to the rain forests of South America. There is the chance you could run into unfriendly indigenous natives as well as Jaguars and crocodiles.

You are told to bring your own weapons, you are allowed two handguns and a rifle.

What will you take?

Myself, it would be a Colt Python .357 four inch barrel, a Glock 19, and a Winchester lever action 30-30.

I believe these are going to do well. I'm not big on Glocks, but going into the jungle I want a semi-auto with good magazine capacity and that will maneuver the dirty country and still fire, thus I bring a Glock for my semi-auto.

Unless you are a Brazilian politician, policeman or Military Officer you cannot carry a gun anywhere in Brazil. So you will be unarmed for your Amazon trip dude!North Americans cannot even own a firearm in brazil. Other South American countries have similar if not stricter rules. Gringoes are supposed to be unarmed so that locals don't get hurt in the process of robbing and killing them.

In short, post is moot point.

i went to the amazon last july saw about 7 different tribes they are great and a spiritual peoples honorable in character integrity in their natural habitats.... unfortunatly those with guns the military and private armies for the loggers and large corporations are forcing many indigenous off their lands if they don't leave they are shot on the spot! it's horrible and deliberate destruction of their freedom their ways and lives all so big corporations can build their slave farms and dams up in the amazon for profit at the expense of many beautiful cultures.........in the village i stayed kids like five year old walked around with machetees not for defense but they used them to cut brush stuff for survival they are not violent tribes but when armies with guns are forcing them off the lands you got to expect them to try and protect but unfortunately many are just shot on the spot many flee to other villages or go to the city to find 'work' they usually sell crafts to tourists and the church pedos are having their way with their young it's so rampant in areas down there there are signs warning about missionary groups trying to vaccinate and rape them it's terrible this is going on but unarmed persons have no chance agaist those armed brutes.......for teh corporations it's just business as usual they don't care who they kill or destroy to make their profits and control yet another piece of realestate ......

i'd like to arm all them so they could protect their lands their home and ways and means to survive

In the spirit of the OP
I would take the following:
Rifle: 1928 Thompson Submachine gun (select fire of course) with both drum and stick mags.
Pistols: 2 ea Stainless 1911A1 without firing pin blocks or anything that is not from John Brownings original design.
Ammo all interchanges and there really isn't much in the Amazon I can't kill with 45 ACP...
Plus I would that my bullwhip and fedora... Can't leave home without it.....

I would bet the folks you would have to worry about are not from the jungle but form the cities.

Sad that the OP would want to go into someone else's back yard prepared to shoot.

Prepared to defend, not shoot up the place. Same as concealed carry in the U.S. but open carry.
