Am I THAT Desperate?

Picked up a gun magazine at the supermarket the other day. Read a good article on the North American Arms new Sidewinder that shoots .22 Magnum. This afternoon I stop by my LGS to see if he got any ammo in. He tells me he got some .22 Magnum in and right away I wanna buy it and order a Sidewinder. Buying the gun to fit the ammo available seems a desperate thing to do....crazy times.

No, didn't get the Sidewinder....yet....

Might be the only way to get some boolits to shoot... find the boolits - buy a lot of 'em - buy a gun to fit... one way to figure it. :o)

Yeah, this is WAY crazier than the madness of four years ago.

In that case I'd b e broke, errrr, poorer. Everything but 7.62X39 or .22LR we have available in town. And for shortages of 7.62X39, that's why the make AKs in 5.56X45.

That's not so crazy! I bought a gun once because someone had given me a set of reloading dies in a caliber I didn't have. I think that was as close to OCD as I've ever been.

went to wlly world and they had ....22 sub sonics. what earthly use do they have besides training your neighbors dog?
they wont eject from a 10/22. and i already have a sling shot.
but ive been finding .22 mag's. i own 2 mag's, a revolver and a bolt action rifle. in my opinion, the .22 mag's are the best bridge between .22 and a 30 cal.

22 sub sonics are some of the most
accurate ammo available.
They are great for rabbit hunting as often times the report does not frighten nearby game.
Also many target shooters use sub sonic ammo to put little holes very close together.

I use CCI sub sonics in my match guns exclusively.

Here's the justification: If you didn't already have a .22 Mag, your collection was missing a key piece.

Feel better?

I never wanted an AR until Diane Feinstein told me I couldn't have one. I'd say buying a gun to fit the ammo available just makes sense. After all, we can never have too many guns.

Sounds good. Seem like a lot of guys have guns they can't shoot because of no ammo. Hoping things will change soon.
