Am I screwed?

I was arrested for having my handgun loaded which I left in my hotel room when I checked out but remembered it and called the hotel about a half hour later and told them I’d be back to get it right away they called the police when I returned they were there!
yep it was in New York !!
What am I looking at as a consequence?

(By the way I very much doubt you were arrested for having your handgun loaded. You were in NYC while carrying an unlicensed pistol. I believe the penalty for that offense is death!)

New York City, or elsewhere in New York State? NYC has rules different from the rest of the state. Also what hotel chain, out of curiosity?

It was at a Comfort Suites in Syosset.
