Am I Crazy - Glock Gen4 G26 Question

I just received my permit and my new Gen4 G26. After disassembling the main pieces, when I try to reassemble I have a question. It seems that the slide won't fully engage unless I push the trigger back to the forward position. The videos on line show (Gen 3 and below) the slide just fully engaging without having to do this, just sliding it all the way back and racking. The instructor at the PPOTH class yesterday (who has a Gen3 G26) was suprised when he tried with no success without reengaging the trigger. Has something changed in the Gen4?

No, the trigger should reset itself same as a Gen3. What about after it's put together? If you dry fire and while still holding the trigger down rack the slide does it reset fully on it's own or do you still need to pull it up?

Thanks. Maybe it is because I am new to the gun but now it works properly most of the time. I guess I wasn't lining it up exactly as it should be.
