Alamance County permit restrictions

Countryback

Last year I applied for a gun permit in Alamance county and got denied. For some back story I am 25 yrs old and had gotten into trouble when I was 16 and charged twice one was a felony that was dismissed and the other charge was a misdemeanor that was not dismissed. Now at the time when I was charged I was told that once 18 it would be dropped from my record since I was charged as a minor but it wasn't. I was told by sheriff johnson myself that it was because of my record but I was looking at Guilford county's gun permit requirements and it noted that you had to have a valid drivers license. That made me remember although I cannot remember the requirements for Alamance county's gun permits but at the time I did not have a valid drivers license due to a speeding ticket. Should I retry or just wait and get my record expunged since I have talked to several lawyers and it is expunge-able? Thanks for any replies

I guess my first question would be, were you driving around with said drivers license revoked? If so, you've already demonstrated you're not ready for a CWP. This is a pretty big decision to legally carry a weapon on your person and you weren't 110% sure you were clean before applying? Man I hope you're in a shall issue state because I don't think you're going to have much luck in a may issue state. Just my $.02

No I was not driving. I never got behind the wheel while they where revoked. I mean I surely don't think that they can turn me down after I clean my record since I have not been in any trouble since.
