Since the gun is locked in your car and not inside the airport terminal then I would say yes. I am assuming that the pistol is locked in the trunk, a safe or secured in the console or glove box and not left in plain sight.

You can carry all over most airports, just not past security. If you can possess it, you can most likely lock it in your car. But of course check the local laws.
