There's really nothin' that feels as good as a freshly cleaned/oiled firearm and running through your battery of functionality tests. Somethin' about the feel of well-machined steel and the smell of gun oil...

It's almost a shame to have to put the guns back into the gun safe...

Wait till you start cleaning your guns with Froglube. Even your wife won't mind if you clean them in the house.

I use MPro-7, which is also odorless. I use remoil for the gas rings and pins, and Valvoline synthetic axle grease on bolt rails and slides. The last thing I do is apply the same synthetic axle grease to the frame and slide on my 1911's to inhibit rust.

The only thing I can smell is the remoil, and even that's a very faint odor.

I use a 50/50 mixture of Murphy oil soap and wintergreen alcohol in a spay bottle. Then I apply slide lube on all moving parts. I use this on all my guns and I've never had a rust problem, even with long term storage.
