I finally became a firearm owner so this is no longer an academic exercise for me. I am now the proud owner of a Glock 19 gen 4 and take the SC CWP class next week.
Congrats on the Glock. Be sure to stock up on ammo too. Good luck next week.
I went unknowingly to a "diploma mill" for my cwp class. The certificates were all signed before the class even started. The way it seemed was as if you didn't shoot the instructor or shoot yourself in the foot you passed. I took basic and advanced gun classes before and after this, but I'm wondering about the other 23 people in this class. My congrats as well. As far as good luck goes, if you need "good luck" to pass the SC course, you probably are not or have not been taught properly. Hopefully your CCWP instructor was a competent and responsible instructor and not a "diploma mill" type, who are out there in SC. My course was with BELT Training in the Charleston/Dorchester County area and James Judy was as good as it can get. Be safe and hopefully, you will only spend time at a range and never have to use your new Glock for anything else, and remember situational awareness--it is, IMO, the be all and end all as a precursor to any need for a firearm; I am 72 and have never ever had a need to even think firearm other than at the range.
