After gun manufacturers again

That makes as much sense as suing General Motors because someone used a Chevrolet to rob a bank. Why the heck is it the manufacturer's fault if someone uses a product illegally?

Because we have liberal judges allowing law suits when people do stupid things. Like burning yourself with hot coffee, setting the cruise control on your motor home then leaving the drivers compartment to make coffee, setting a ladder on soft unstable ground then falling off the ladder..... The list goes on.

Are you trying to tell me cruise control is not auto pilot? If so I have been doing it wrong for years.

If you watch an advertisement on TV of a car doing something like skiing down a mountain or driving under water, there is always a disclaimer of don't try this at home or driver is professional on closed course. Some moron is bound to try it.

Some liberal judge will allow these nuts to sue when everything goes wrong. The disclaimer isn't worth the paper it's printed on.

I hear that coffee thing coming up every so often... and after having looked into it - yup, the lady was a dumbass for putting a cup of hot coffee between her legs instead of using a cup holder (where it could only minimally have harmed her had it spilled) - the reason why she won was that the coffee was hotter than it "should" have been.

I still go back to the first point, though. If she hadn't been holding it between her legs, and had used a cup holder - then she wouldn't have spilled it on herself and caused her own injury. Wonder why McDonalds didn't sue the car mfg for providing better cup holders...

Yep, they said the coffee was too hot... That's kind of like a knife being too sharp...
