Add Chipotle to the the list of anti-gun establishments

The clowns who walked into Chipotles with long guns, one of whom was at least on the edge of brandishing it by holding it at low ready, brought this on. Those idiots are the ones to blame, not Chipotles. You can also blame them and others like them for simultaneously weakening gun rights, strengthening anti-gunners, and helping to paint all gun owners as reckless, provocative, clueless, and irresponsible. All that is in addition to the fact that people who open-carry long guns look like idiotic commando wannabes, which suggests personality defects of some sort at a minimum.

Have any pictures of them walking into the restaurant at the low ready? Didn't think so, just one picture of a guy posing, but not waking around at the low ready. What kind of a dumb***k couldn't see that?

I blame you, for weakening gun rights, by pushing for gun control of long guns. Pathetic.

In my view, don't throw rocks at me, they had the right to do this, however I would not. It is just ammo for the other side. I might have been in fear. Maybe they are paid by Sara Brady. Wow.

I hope they make sure to tell any would be criminals coming in to rob them that they are prohibited from having firearms in the store.

Along with rights go responsibilities. Gun owners with brains and common sense understand that. Fringe gun fanatics don't--or don't care, and they make all of us look disreputable.

Definition of an anti gunner "lite"...

Someone who purports to support the right to keep and bear arms yet believes before anyone should dare exercise that right they should first ask those who are obviously superior in intellect.. (you know... the anti gunner lite himself) what is considered "reasonable", "appropriate", and "acceptable".

The rabid anti gunner wants to ban all guns everywhere for everyone and the anti gunner "lite" only wants to ban guns he thinks aren't "reasonable" to have, where and when it is "appropriate" to carry guns, along with who and why is "acceptable" to carry guns. And the anti gunner "lite" never seems to understand they have the same arrogant "do what I tell you because I said it is best" perspective as the rabid anti gunner.... with both wanting to be in charge of how much gun control they want other people to suffer under.

Both the rabid anti gunner and the anti gunner "lite" use the very same Saul Alinsky tactic of attempting to elevate themselves with the use of insults and ridicule to diminish, demean, demonize, and marginalize those they think are not adhering to their standards of what is "reasonable", "appropriate", and "acceptable".

And there is a difference between the rabid anti gunner and the anti gunner "lite"... the rabid anti gunner isn't being hypocritical about gun control.

My guns are mine alone. I will carry them in any manner I so choose.
That may mean openly or concealed in any manner of holster I have, or not.
Now if some duchebag doesn't like it, he or she is welcome to drop to their respective knees and proceed to undo the fly of my jeans with their mouth.
That is the ONLY way some tool will ever be allowed to give me lip concerning my methods of carry.
Any questions?

As it is said, I may not agree with what you're saying, but i'll defend to the death your right to say it. What these guys did was legal, plain and simple. It just wasn't an intelligent decision in my eyes. If i were at an event and thought i may go there afterward, i would bring a secure way of storing said long guns such as in a case locked and with me. My carry/defense weapon would be on my hip. not because i'm worried about getting kicked out, it's because i'm sympathetic to the idiots in the country that don't like guns. The guy posing for this picture (picture right) is just asking to create a scene. To the gentleman who said he was "borderline brandishing" i would agree. depending on where they are in the store - To an onlooker, the gun is loaded - safety and bolt indistinguishable, his hand is on the fore grip and his finger is near the trigger regardless of discipline. While it's not textbook, i would also consider that "low ready" - regardless of it being for a pose or not. Had they walked in hanging loose there would be no question of chipotles actions being over the top, but thanks to the slow thinking there is not much more fuel than there needed to be. Still, either way I would have definitely been on higher alert with these guys in the place, and posing like that may have even caused me to leave depending on how long they were doing it and how responsible they were about it. Still, under law it was their right to do it. If i were Chipotle, i would simply ask that gun owners exercise a little more sympathy for their other customers when choosing which guns they're going to carry into the store and how rather than asking them flat out not to do it. Remember, we all know that these rifles are not the problem but to other people they're still "Big scary assault rifles" in the same way that the boogeyman is still the boogeyman to a small child regardless of what the adult knows. Throwing on a scary suit and getting in their face is not going to help them not be afraid of it. It takes a little time and patience and education and soon it goes away. **** like this has people covering their ears to that education and going "lalalalaallala scary guns are bad lalala". Don't give up your rights, just be a little smarter about them, you know? It would be a shame to be shot by another person because you were doing something stupid "just because it's your right to". Whether you're right or wrong in that instance, you're still dead.

State: Texas
Illegal to openly carry a pistol.
Not illegal to open carry a rifle.
Choices?
Everyone has them, sometimes your state limits them.

I was mistaken at first thinking it was in New York...but it doesn't surprise me that it happened in Texas.

Let me get this straight though...Texas open carry had a pre approved demonstration at chipotle...which means there were more people than just these two carrying long guns in the restaurant...and there are still gun owners that would leave because ...? Even though the 2nd amendment has nothing to do with private property...it's a good example of the People's mentality, gun owners specifically, and why the Constitution is dead.

In a lot of cases, the anti-gun/anti-carry what have you signs...are being posted by businesses that think it will actually help, not hinder business by making a political statement. This is in part because gun owners are regularly portrayed as an off base minority. Many folks who don't own firearms still enjoy shooting as a sport and support others' legal right to own however the media portrays firearms owners as a minority to be shunned.

All it takes is an incident no matter how insignificant to get another sign posted somewhere...

Is the Chipotle thing concerning all Chipotles everywhere, all states? or just certain stores?, not that it makes a dam for me, a Chipotle just opened here and when I get around to going there, my wife and I will go, she's always concealed, where as I would maybe pull my shirt over it,

Saw a sign once in NY. Once. Some years back posted at HSBC bank, which is now gone. Why are there so many of these issues in gun friendly states?
