About damn time a school stood up and said we are armed!!

I don't know if they put signs up, but I saw awhile back that some teachers and staff in Ohio schools have been learning to shoot and carrying.

Yes, they put up a big sign too. My daughter is in an Ohio school. The idea of teachers carrying is still in study I understand.

Saw it, loved it. It's about time other districts follow suit as well. It's the most common sense thing to do and the most cost effective.

High School class of '73. I approve. Take that, Obama, Holder and all your blatantly stupid, leftist leaning, "we don't need armed teachers and staff in schools", knee-jerk idiocy.

It is especially gratifying to see Clarksville giving Arkansas' Attorney General Dustin McDaniel an enema of enlightenment.

I hope the movement is catching. Nothing more important in schools than kids' safety. Their license is for two years. Remains to be seen if year three brings continued success.

Newcomerstown, Ohio close to me have teachers trained and carrying. They haven't put up a sign, but it was well publicized in the newspaper for all to know. Drawing attention openly could give a shooter a slight advantage being on the look out for those armed teachers.

I really have no position on the sign pro or con, just glad the school is taking steps to protect the future of this country. I believe children growing up with the knowledge that they had teachers around them armed to protect them that caused them NO HARM will provide them with the truth about guns. Guns in the hand of law abiding citizens is a good thing that it isn't the guns that harm anyone it is those with evil intentions that harm people with guns. A valuable lesson learned just by growing up in that environment.

That is one positive I hadnt thought of.

Well I've been pushing this in my dist. (Fairless Local in Stark Co. Ohio), for close to TWO YEARS now, and my school board is full of some of the most ignorant people I've EVER met!!!

As for having a productive conversation with them, common sense, logic, reason, and truth go in one ear and out the other. They won't nothing more than for those of us who are pushing this, to go away, but unfortunatly (for them) we're not!!!
