Couldn't say it any better myself

:smile:The only view that is missing in that sequence is How the Government sees me, but there is no such weapon available to show. Very interesting and factual representation of how the gun is seen.

IMO, the government should be seen as home invaders.

I agree, there were three guys or maybe the other look like a guy they came in the barber where I was at. They were coming in and out and I ask the lady barber which she was the only one in there do you know them. She told me no and the one guy was looking at me like he wanted to try me. Well I have a 1st degree black belt and do cardio and pump a little weights and be doing it my years. These three guys were so light I know that I could have taking them, unless they had a weapon so I had mine to.

We must be sure to keep gun ownership in perspective and somehow deal with the Government. Our right to own guns is a must, but we may need to give up assault rifles for national safety. This still leaves us many good rifles, shotguns, and handguns to own.

I'm not sure I understand the love affair Americans have with assault rifles, but they do.

I thought concealed meant concealed...so how can all those criminals see the firearm? Shouldn't the pictures just be of a guy/girl wearing a jacket with no visible firearm just like everyone else around them?

Cluznar, what is the definition of an assault rifle? How is society safer if we give up assault rifles? They aren't killing anyone in society today...

Should we give up soda machines? Potted plants? Pools? They have killed more people in our society in a year than assault rifles have in the past 20 years combined...

Then again...I think you are just as misinformed about firearms as the media....it's kind of hard to understand something when you don't have the slightest clue what it is your talking about to begin with.

Gotta steal this one

.....

We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the law breaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is responsible for his actions....Ronald Reagan

We need to give up "assault rifles" for "national safety"? Are you kidding me? Since when do "assault rifles" make this country less safe? Last I checked, guns don't kill people. My "assault rifle" sure hasn't hurt anyone. Do your guns sneak out of your house at night and kill people?

Give me a break. You are just as bad as all the other anti-gunners.

Wait a minute. "Our" right to own guns and "I'm not sure I understand the love affair Americans have..."? If you aren't American, where does "Our" come from? You either are or you aren't.
.
Assault rifles are already controlled under NFA. Nobody is talking about banning them. What they're talking about are fictitious "assault weapons". I say fictitious because they don't exist. There is no definition for that term. That's why the bans always name specific models and list cosmetic features rather than functional characteristics, because there is no functional definition of an "assault weapon".
.
You don't give up 'assault weapons' for national safety. You don't give up any firearm for national safety, because banning any firearm will decrease safety rather than increasing it. History has repeatedly shown that. Anyone who thinks banning a firearm will increase safety has been falling for propaganda and ignoring facts. Even the priciple itself, independent of any firearm or type of firearm, flies in the face of firearems rights and the U.S. Constitution. As soon as you allow that it's okay to give up firearms for national safety, you open the door for people to start deciding which firearms are safe and which aren't. Unless you've been living under a rock for a long time, you can see the downhill slope that would become.
.
Firearms rights increase safety. That doesn't change by type or model of firearm. Entertaining the ridiculous notion that some firearms can be banned in the interest of safety is not only factually absurd, but it opens the door to banning any and all firearms for the same reason.

Cluznar is an anti-gun Libtard pot stirring troll. Check out this thread he started, trying to ruffle feathers here.

Cluznar, you need to pick a side. you are either for gun rights or against them. Like Rhino and DeserEagle said. You obviously have no clue what an assault rifle is. Yes an AR-15 looks like an assault rifle i.e. M16 or M4, with one major difference... Selective fire. An AR-15 is not full auto or Burst, which is what makes them Assault Rifles.

So before you decide to come in here again and provide your leftist opinion, do us all a favor and go play in the fast lane of a busy freeway...

How about instead of "love affair" instead I just like to shoot and the AR is one of those things that I shoot. Not any more complicated than that. i know a guy who has a AK collection - I also know a guy with a half million license plates. It's each persons interest. As long as both (yeh people have been killed with license plates) are use safely as they were intended, by people who are trained to use them no harm no foul. There is also the competitive three gun that uses an AR - again another hobby that is highly safe and to those like me that do it a lot of fun - in fact much safer than even range shooting since each person has a RO on them every step of the way - I may be wrong but memory serves me that there has never been a injury other than some equipment malfunctions at any USPSA match. Last Just I was at an area match with about 350 shooters, each shooting between 400-500 rounds over a two day period with nobody (other than the guy that put a staple through his hand setting up targets) hurt in any way. Final thought - what are "high cap magazines?" I know the anti's have this magical number of 10 or 7 in their mind but to me a high cap means one that is more than the base round count for that particular gun - I shoot an XDM in USPSA which has as standard a 19 round magazine. In the division you can only have 10 so that is what you do. My XD Tactical which I used the first year has a 16 round mag etc. That should minimally be the starting point for the other side move toward "you really don't need to change anything because it is not the problem. With the XDM anything less will render the gun inoperaive which is exactly how those slimy snakes can now say "we didn't take away anyone's guns" which while technically is like saying we didn't outlaw cars we just outlawed wheels....... ahhh so all the more need to just keep it like it is.

You cannot be a US Citizen and believe that it is a love affair with any Weapon. It is a love affair with our Country and our Rights. The 2nd Amendment is what keeps the Goverment from taking over the FREEDOMS we have. We the PEOPLE are the DEFENDERS and the Militia of the Republic!
