A perfect example of why I will never open carry

Say what you will about what is or is not legal, but this guy brought this upon himself. Any time some handles a firearm, unholstered, in a densely populated place, you can exepect things like this to happen.

As for the title of this thread, I agree. I won't knock anyone who chooses to open carry, but of all the stories I've ever heard about responsible carriers being harassed by police, not one of them was carrying concealed. Each mode has its advantages and disadvantages, but concealed gets my vote every time for that reason alone.

I prefer CC but OC right is important...It covers your Butt if you expose by accadent...
Cops are still going after people in FL just for printing even a little bit...even with the new rules...

This is true open carriers will get harassed more by police. On the flip side, open carriers are rarely targeted by bad guys. But I do see one or two stories a week about a concealed carrier killing someone. That is why I will try to never conceal carry, they seem to get picked, I wonder why....

No charges are being filed at this time, Burlington police said.

Should read "No charges will be filed, Burlington police said."

....and I don't see anything in the report that had anything to do with OC.

Libtards at it again. The guy wasnt being weird with it nor was he in the mall with it. In a state like VT where hunting and open carry are legal... why did she have to call the police?

I have sold guns in parking lots before as private sales and dont feel like its a big deal. Of course I try and be descreet so no libtards call on me but it could happen.

What I dont understand is what this story has to do with carrying a HANDGUN openly or concealed? That being said here we go again and pass the popcorn.
