A new danger to everyone around

My daughter sends me a text saying "Look at an acquaintance of mine" and a pic

I'm like ok kewls, she's practicing...

Then I look at the next pic..

Now I'm wondering why she's taking a pic with her finger on the trigger..

Now I'm hoping my daughter stays very far away from this idiot. It's bad enough that she's got it pointed upwards by her face, she's got her finger on the trigger again. It's haphazard behavior like this that makes a person a danger to themselves and everyone around them.

***I edited the pics to hide identity*** ;)

I see a lot of irresponsible handling in the photos being posted to some pro sites and facebook. Some of these have to be posed and using models instead of true gun people.
We should call them out everytime.

Kimd of reminds me of this picture....

Glorifying what the user perceives as "cool" because it's so "badass" to have a weapon.

Oh yeah... Daughter said look at this idiot, she just got her first gun. I'm hoping someone takes it away from her for her own safety. I have a bad habit of calling people on facebook idiots for having fingers on triggers when trying to be all hard or sexy. Irresponsible gun owners are just stupid.

She ever fires that gun while holding it the way she is on the first pic she is going to have her self a nice set of railroad tracks and will probably drop the gun when it happens and put even more people in danger. I agree with your daughter and OP that girl should have it taken away until she takes some safety classes at the very least. JMHO.

In addition to what others have mentioned: leaning back like that? -- awful form; no eye (and presumably no ear) protection; judging by the decor and stuff visible in the background I'm betting that's not at a range (safe firing direction? Target and beyond?)

That said, I'd be happy to offer lessons in my limited, not-a-certified-trainer, capacity.

There was a lady at my local firing range and she had no clue how to clean much less how to unload a firearm. She was cleaning a loaded firearm. The guy that runs the range was very upset when he seen this he refunded her the membership and told her she was no longer allowed to use the range and that she was no longer allowed on the property because she was not safe. I mean I cant blame the guy one bit there were 20 people in the room and this lady was trying to clean a firearm completely loaded and she dropped the firearm. Yes dropped a loaded firearm. Was a scary site to see. It is stupid **** like this that gets people killed. There is no excuse for carelessness ever.

Actually ITCH, I would have been happier to hear that the guy running the range politely stopped the lady and then had an impromptu safety lesson and gone over the right way to handle a gun. I agree that there is a lot of clueless behavior out there but think about three things... that lady may have a very real need to have, and know how to use, that weapon and she left without that or any future chances to get that knowledge there, she now has a poor opinion of gun people when we should be trying to welcome new members to family, and last and certainly the most important is this... that guy didn't solve a thing... he just relocated a tragedy waiting to happen somewhere else when he could have at least TRIED to prevent it. The liberals are demonizing gun owners and we should all be trying present ourselves as examples of polite, sensible, and responsible people and ambassadors to new people wishing to learn about guns.

I understand the point and when I see people like this I am always eager to help those who are in need. I guess the owner was to aggravated over the situation. He is the store owner so I can understands both sides. I guess if he wanted to refund her and not allow her back to the range because of safety I guess he has a right to do that also because of liability concerns. I was just sharing.

I was wondering if anyone else noticed that interesting grip.
