A little dose of truth

Sheldon, illegals are funneling in like sand what are you talking about.

If the liberals had their say in it they would using tax dollars to aid the illegals in their rush to get to America, and the illegals would funnel in like sand, which if you have ever been to the beach know it gets into everything.

N just what kind of mess do you think we would have been in if Gore or Kerry were at the helm??? Yeah it would be a real disaster, electing a democrat would not be a issue, the collapse of the institutions and the mess at Wall St would still have happened, they would still have blamed the republicans, the terrorist would be climbing down our throats, and our tax dollars would be funneling in illegals like sand in the desert.

My oldest son also refused to look at what is going on, and has his blinders on just like you, guess letting his grand dad raise him was a mistake. My only satisfaction will be in lording over him the mess he helped create when the Commie,(tax us all to give it to the not wanting to work), Muslim, non U.S. citizen really messes thing up.

Yeah I know he is not a communist, but is just supported by the communist party.
Yeah I know he is no longer a Muslim, but is just supported by the Muslim's of the world.
Yeah I know he was born in Hawaii, so make him prove it by providing a valid Haywain birth certificate and not a faked xerox!

The fact is, since Kerry or Gore weren't in office when 9/11 happened, we don't know how they would have handled it. All I can go by is what I have seen and what I've seen is the second worst president of my lifetime (the worst was Carter), and a wannabe king. I've observed this president singlehandedly run our economy into the ground, anoint himself "The Decider," assert his authority to ignore portions of laws with which he disagrees, eavesdrop on his citizens in violation of both FISA and the Constitution, and run the single most secretive administration in history. But you think I have blinders on? What makes you say that?

The W is the worst in my opinion. Thats why i can't vote for a guy who said i voted with the bush administration 90% of the time. I think that's ludacris.

have ya'll seen the SNL skit on nbc of the old mccain rally lady. Its hillarious. I don't think nbc has allowed you tube to carry it so you will have to go to nbc.com. It mimics the lady that stood up and said he's an arab at the rally. ITs great go watch it.

But you think I have blinders on? What makes you say that?

This finical mess was started by the Carter Administration, further by the Clinton administration, the terrorist threat all started when Carter let the Aiatiola take US hostages. While the Clinton ignored the threats, and let Al Querida run amok and not go after them when they attacked the US and US lands.

Then Bush had to get straddled with this while mess to try and fix any way he could, and all you can see is the present mess, but not any of the prelude that got us here or any of the massive resistance Bush has met from a Democratic congress that has fought him at ever turn!!

Now you want to waste your vote on a guy that supports the same people that attacked us, voted against legislation to head off the finical crisis, wants to increase all of our taxes, and are totally ignoring the fact that McCain offered his life while you were just a baby to help keep us all safe, was tortured, and beaten way beyond anything you can imagine, and has served his country with distinction and honor!!! But still you listen to the Lying liberal media and want to elect someone who is in my Opinion a Traitor to this country, takes the advice of traitors, terrorist, and criminals, yeah you have blinders on no doubt about it.!!!:hang3:

We have had some bad Presidents but I am afraid we may be about to see the worst of all time.

are you talking about the first six years of his presidency where the republican's had complete control in the senate and house. I'm sure you meant just the last two years is when everything went bad right. Ok thanks

Yeah a candidate for the highest office in america supports terrorism. Thats pretty good their. Where does the right wing get this garbage. The republicans are so holy yet they are the first ones to judge and critisize and smear people. Wants do decrease 95 percent of americans taxes except the wealthiest 5 percent. You left that off i think. Oh yeah and the fact that if you serve in the military your an automatic shew in for president no matter how smart you are. What was i thinking. I love Mccain. Thanks for showing me the light.

Sheldon, if you take the time to read any of my numerous posts on this subject, you would see that I don't support either Obama or McCain; I'll be voting for libertarian Bob Barr this year. He won't win the election, but at least I won't be wasting my vote voting for the lesser of two evils, which I would be if I chose McCain only as a vote against Obama.

Wonderful, A lot of Americans chose not to vote for the lesser of two evils in 1992 also. Perot said many things that made sense to them. Too bad the PRACTICAL, Real-Life result was a depletion of our military and the shaping of the policies that caused the recent economic situation, while Bill focused on his sex life.

I choose to vote for the most qualified candidate; if that person is not from the Democratic or Republican party, then it'll be someone else. At the end of the day, my conscience will be clear knowing that I voted for the person I thought was most qualified, and not someone less than qualified because it was the "practical" thing to do.

So if someone disagrees with your view then it is borderline racist... figures you would vote for someone that wants to neuter the Military... Gunny (NOT):crazy_pilot:

I served 23 years in the USMC did 2 tours to Iraq and I was there in 1991 for Desert Storm. You can say what you like in part due to the things that I have put my life on the line for. I know who I am and I am also not going to back down from anything I said. There is a HUGE under current of racism in this country and it is just now being brought to the surface thanks in part to the desperation of the McCain Palin campaign. It disgusts me to read however I am not surprised. I firmly believe that most of America is not racist and that they will look at the issues and then decide who best represents their interests and vote.

The fact is racism in this country works both ways. I know several wonderful, strong black Christian families in my church and they would not be caught dead voting for Obama. That being said though there happens to be a lot of blacks that are voting for Obama because he "is" black and it makes no difference that he may be the absolute worst, most socialistic and corrupt candidate we have had in a long time. If that is not racist I don't know what is.

Corrupt? I have not seen mention of that even on Fox? If you want to talk about corruption maybe we should bring up the Keating 5 scandal or how about Sara for the oil pipeline contracts that only allowed bids from campaign contributors or the contractors who built the new sports arena in Wassilla and also built the mayors house at no charge.

I only used the word corrupt because I did not think it appropriate to say what I really think about him. Lets just say I think he has all the potential to be one of the great dictators of all time. Vote for him if you want but be prepared for what you will get.

The Tenth Commandment [thou shalt not covet] sends a message to collectivists, to people who believe wealth is best obtained by redistribution. And the message is clear and concise: Go to hell.

George Bernard Shaw

If you have been voting for politicians who promise to give you goodies at someone else's expense, then you have no right to complain when they take your money and give it to someone else, including themselves.

Thomas Sowell (1992)

The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism, but under the name of Liberalism, they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program until one day America will be a Socialist nation without knowing how it happened.

Norman Thomas - Socialist Party Presidential candidate (1976)

You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift. You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot help the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer. You cannot further the brotherhood of many by encouraging class hatred. You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than you earn. You cannot build character and courage by taking away mans initiative and independence. You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves.

the KEating 5 was 1 Republican and 4 Democrats....even nobama decided not to bring it up....all it proves statistically is that there are 4 times as many crooks in the Dem party as in the Repubs...

Glenn and McCain: cleared of impropriety but criticized for poor judgment
The Senate Ethics Committee ruled that the involvement of Glenn in the scheme was minimal, and the charges against him were dropped.[55] He was only criticized by the Committee for "poor judgment."[58]

The Ethics Committee ruled that the involvement of McCain in the scheme was also minimal, and he too was cleared of all charges against him.[56][55] McCain was criticized by the Committee for exercising "poor judgment" when he met with the federal regulators on Keating's behalf.[7] The report also said that McCain's "actions were not improper nor attended with gross negligence and did not reach the level of requiring institutional action against him....Senator McCain has violated no law of the United States or specific Rule of the United States Senate."[59] On his Keating Five experience, McCain has said: "The appearance of it was wrong. It's a wrong appearance when a group of senators appear in a meeting with a group of regulators, because it conveys the impression of undue and improper influence. And it was the wrong thing to do."[7]

Regardless of the level of their involvement, both senators were greatly affected by it. McCain would write in 2002 that attending the two April 1987 meetings was "the worst mistake of my life".[60] Glenn has described the Senate Ethics Committee investigation as the low point of his life.[8]

The Senate Ethics Committee did not pursue, for lack of jurisdiction, any possible ethics breaches in McCain's delayed reimbursements to Keating for trips at the latter's expense, because they occurred while McCain was in the House.[57] The House Committee on Standards of Official Conduct said that it too lacked jurisdiction, because McCain was no longer in the House.[61] It said it did not require that McCain amend his existing financial disclosure forms for his House years, on the grounds that McCain had now fully reimbursed Keating's company

+1. exactly.

It's called a lie. It's what politicians do while their lips are moving.
Can't we at least give him the benefit of the doubt and assume that he's referring to 95% of those who pay taxes

Just kidding of course. He's a politician doing what politicians do, which is saying whatever they need to say to get elected.
