A Brief Recap of the Roanoke, VA Gun Show

Vendors-plentiful; guns, plentiful; ammo plentiful, but expensive; AR's pick your brand, color, chambering and price, very reasonable. FDE is big this season; crowd, sparse.

Not a Glock 30S to be found, no pistol powder, no 9mm bullets for reloading .......22 ammo was there...at .15/rd! My last two thousand was .03/rd.

Pistol pricing was near normal. Posted prices about $25-$30 below retail. Not sure if haggling was going on since no one seemed to be buying. Did not see one person walking out with a newly purchased gun of any kind.

Missed a truly great photo opportunity: A couple of tables filled to capacity with hundreds of magazines. Single and double stack, new, used, surplus, drum, etc, and two huge yellow and black vinyl banners that shouted "CLIPS".

Hope to make it up to the Chantilly, VA "America's Gun Show" this fall where Virginia gets to rub DC's nose in our gun laws.

I was at the Ft Lauderdale gun show today. Much of what you said was true there too. But people were still buying guns and ammo. And paying current retail. I didn't buy a thing as Korean M1 30 rd mags at $19.95 is more than what I can get them for. By about $4.00 each delivered. Federal XM193 5.56X45 at $12.95 a box/20 is not really a bargain and 600 rds of .30" Carbine in bandoleers in a spam can at $450 sure wasn't. PPU .30 Carbine was $29.95/50. Other prices matched what list is in the LGS in most cases.
