10yr old boy tased for refusing to clean patrol car...???

Any concrete evidence? Seems to be such a ridiculous story, which if it had any validity there would be a report of disciplinary action against the officer, or a statement from the department. This story did not articulate an attempt to contact the accused department.

I expected to read an article about a police officer catching a juvenile delinquent defacing his police car by throwing a soft drink or something similar at it. And then going overboard when the kid refused to wipe it off instead of delivering him to his parents. This sounds almost too incredible to be true. But the kid would have had to have gotten those burns somehow. I will be curious to see how this plays out.

sometimes sad truth is stranger than fiction i hope that's not true but it wouldn't surprise me any if it was

I doubt Courthouse News would cover it if it was not a legitimate story. The piece in the OP was based on Courthouse News Service's coverage of it, and CNS's story was Link Removed.

Here's more coverage of the incident from The Smoking Gun, and here's a link from that coverage to a scan of what appears to me to be the first page of the original court-filed complaint.

The Smoking Gun story says the cop claims it was an accidental discharge of his Taser, but it doesn't explain why he pulled the barbs out of the kid himself and refused to get him medical attention (as required).

The Smoking Gun also documents that Webb, the Taser-happy child-torturer, was suspended for three days.

No matter how you slice it, this cop has no business wearing a badge and a gun. Anyone who can excuse this behavior, whether the Taser was brandished as a joke towards a kid who refused to clean his damned car for him and then accidentally discharged as he claims, or especially if he Tased an unarmed, non-threatening kid, refused medical attention and yanked the barbs out himself on purpose, I can only surmise such a person would be as sadistic and irresponsible as the thug who perpetrated this travesty.

Anyway, unfortunately, this is indeed a story with concrete evidence, it is indeed ridiculous, and it has indeed been validated by disciplinary action against the child-torturer. Any other questions?

Funny, he's got to pick a fight with a child. His dad probably did that to him, so he took it out on some poor kid.

We had a cop where I grew up by the name of Steve Fisher. One day I was walking on the train tracks after a storm picking up sticks for the fire pit when he saw me. He drove his squad car on the tracks and carved the bottom out of it pretty bad. My neighbors came out to see why the cop was yelling at me and when he tried to grab me I ran. I beat him home and luckily somebody called the chief, Bob Hoyt, and he was waiting there. Fisher had his gun out. Wanna guess how old I was?

This same cop kept his job until he got the 16 year old secretary at the fire station pregnant, he was in his 30s and married. Never prosecuted, never fired, he resigned and divorced his wife on that girl's 18th birthday. A few years ago, he was "elected" as village CEO (nobody voted) and fired by the town board for embezzlement. Him and his child bride made a grand exit, involving a large bag of ping pong balls, where the current police chief, who is the only professional officer I have ever met, arrested him.

It's sad that these pieces of garbage are allowed a badge, gun and the authority over the general public. There needs to be more screening.
