    Free glock

I just was notified that during "Glock Days" that I have won a brand new Glock. If it is a 9mm, .40, or .357 it is free, otherwise I pay the difference. They said it would be between $35-$45 in case I wanted a .45 or a longslide. I used to have a G23 and got rid of it for a G22. The only...

    Taurus 992 Tracker

Hey folks. Maybe someone can help me out here. I recently bought a 6.5" Taurus 992 Tracker. It has two cylinders, one for .22 LR and the other for .22 WMR. I am planning on using this handgun for small game, squirrels up to coyotes. I'd like to get a chest or belly holster that straps tight...

    .22 hunting pistol

Hey all, Hopefully I can benefit from some of the forum's experiences. I live in PA and can NOT hunt with any firearm that is semi-automatic. This leaves open bolt action and revolvers to choose from. I'm interested in getting involved in small game hunting with a pistol. I was leaning...

    The new Glock G42

I am the proud of owner the newest baby Glock, the G42. I picked it up this afternoon for $319. I've provided a few pictures for comparison. Where my G22 and G42 are pictured, they are on an 8.5" x 11" piece of paper for comparison. Also, I put the Sig P238 on top of the G42 for comparison as...

Alamo Ammo - Watch out for their business practices

Normally I wouldn't blast a company publicly on a forum, but I have had a relatively bad experience from this company and they refuse to respond to me. I made a significant purchase from Alamo Ammo to the tune of about $1200. On their site they said their shipping was 3-business days and they...

    Travel in South Dakota

Hey folks. I'm from PA and will be vacationing in SD for about a month this summer. I know I can (and will) look up a the firearms laws within SD, but was wondering if you folks have anything special to be on the look out for? Any help/assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Wolf

Why duty to inform sucks at times

Link Removed This is one reason why I hate states that mandate I must inform. When you have jack booted thugs that won't allow you to inform, then arrest you for not doing so, what are you supposed to do? Is that cop going to be arrested for threatening murder? Doubt it.

    Merry christmas

I've been on this forum now for almost two years (two more months will be two years). I have debated, discussed, learned, laughed, and thoughtfully considered since I have joined. I even consider some you good friends. As such, I would like to wish each and every one of you a very Merry...

    Renewal

Went online, filled out my renewal... received a post card and was told to report at the Sheriff's office within 30 days. Went there today... spent 10 minutes in line, dealing with the deputy, getting my photo taken, handing out $20, and wishing them all a Merry Christmas. Not a bad way to go...

    Renewal of PA license

I mailed in my renewal (rather than taking it in person). I mailed it on the 9th of November. I received validation on the 27th of November. As soon as I go down and get my picture taken and give $20, I walk out with the renewal license for the next five years. How are other states renewal...

Can you hunt rabbits using snakes?

I came across this, quite accidentally. I was enthralled by this man's genius and bravado handling four snakes. Enjoy.

    20 ga shotgun

I have a unique niche that is needed to be filled. I'm looking to get a 20 gauge (not 12 ga) shotgun that comes with both a smooth and a rifled barrel. I know Mossberg makes one and so does Remington. Does anyone know of any other manufacturers that make a decent combo barreled 20 ga?

    Common Core Standards

There have been some on these forums that have criticized the Common Core Standards and I have noticed that a lot of folks don't seem to understand what they are. In a nutshell they are two sets of standards (one for English/Language Arts and the other for Mathematics). All the standards are...

KelTec P3AT, Ruger LCP, or Taurus TCP

For those of you who have followed some of my threads, you know that sadly I feel the need to give up my Sig P238 as a BUG. I was at the range recently and do to much practice with my Glock, when I went to shoot my P238 it didn't go bang since I neglected to click off the safety. This...

special leave for gays in the military

Apparently, in the infinite wisdom of the DoD, LGBT's will be able to get up to 10 days leave time (paid, for free) if they choose to get married while on duty. I don't know about you folks, but this sounds like paid time off for a honeymoon. Interesting how straight couples don't get the same...

    Pro 2A lawyer?

My wife and I are trying to find a good pro 2A lawyer to put on speed dial in case we are ever involved in a legal defensive situation. Does anyone know of any good lawyers who specialize in protecting those involved in a lawful shooting in the Allegheny, Beaver, or Butler counties? Thank you.
