    Hunting in Ohio with pistol

My Dad is traveling to Ohio for a week to hunt on a friends property. Can he carry a pistol for protection from the 4 legged variety? He does not have a CCW permit. He will be there during a muzzle loader hunt and he would be carrying a .45 auto. Here in Florida we can carry a pistol open while...

Leaving a firearm in vehicle while at work

Im in Florida and was wondering what the law was about leaving a firearm in my truck while Im at work. Does the company I work for have authority to keep me from having a firearm on their property while it is in my own vehicle? I searched but I couldn't find any hard proof to back up statements...

    Vehicle Carry

Is it legal to mount a holster in my truck under the dash where I could access it quickly? I've had a situation where a guy tried to open my door and then the "what ifs" started. I was able to drive off running the red light safely as there wasn't any traffic in the late night hours. But what...

    Made my first holster yesterday.

@Cathyinblue. The "black leather" is a plastic called Kydex. You stick it in the oven at 400 degrees for a bit. Let it melt, you'll see it start to sag, this is good. Using good gloves, take it and lay it over your gun and press it down. I used a small heat gun to get the tighter areas and for...

    Made my first holster yesterday.

I was wanting to buy a supertuck holster but right now I can't swing the $100 for one. I thought I would make my own. I thought it turned out pretty good for my first holster. Only cost me $34 and I can make 2 more!! Link Removed

    .380 bullet mold

Found a mold that produces 6 124gr bullets but that's too heavy for a .380. They have a 102gr which is the heaviest I've seen in the reloading books. Could I make a tin/lead alloy to lessen the weight or just get a mold for 2 102gr bullets? Anyone ever done this?

Now have great confidence of the power of a .380

Went out this weekend to hunt turkey and hogs. Didn't have much luck with the birds but did shoot a nice fat sow along with my dad. We drove up on about 10 pigs that were feeding and we took our shots. I ran up to the pig I shot and although the shot placement was good (double lung) it was still...

Carrying concealed, should I feel this way?

I've read a lot of articles of peoples experiences while carrying. I mostly read these topics because it makes me think of things to watch out for in the world I may not think of on my own. I do seem to find that there are a bunch of people who always say how much of a responsibility we have...

    Holsters for skinny people

I'm a skinny guy with a 29 inch waist. I have a hard time with my current holster placing it where it is comfortable. I'd like to carry IWB on my hip but there really isn't enough real estate to do that with out going OWB. I'd also be comfortable going around to the back about 5 o' clock...
