Inform the officer or not when concealed carry?

Suppose you're out for a drive and you've got a tail light out... Or you're doing a bit above the speed limit and you just had a nice set of headers, exhaust pipes, and mufflers put on your car... Regardless, you're now on the side of the road with a blue light special behind you. Officer...

    Collect them all?

Obviously there are states that won't accept CCW no matter how many licenses I have, not will I ever be able to get them. (Maryland, California, etc. Which is sad, because I travel through Maryland a lot. :( ) I've already got the Virginia. Whom else should I go for for maximum reciprocity...

    Guns on a plane?

I'd never attempt to bring my gun on a commercial flight. Are there any TSA rules concerning guns on your own plane? (IE Cessna) I don't think I'll hijack it unless I come down with a sudden case of multiple personality disorder or schizophrenia or something. I've got a few hours in a 172...

How noticable do the "No Weapons" signs have to be?

I'm slowly starting to concealed carry around where I go, mainly starting with long road trips through the state... I occasionally pull over to help some stranded motorist with a flat tire or a blown radiator hose, as I carry a battery powered impact wrench, hydraulic jack, and a spare jug of...

Inside Waistband, LEFT HAND holster for KelTec P11?

I can't find any, aside from the Uncle Mike's. I was looking for something more rigid... I really wanna wear it constantly so that I can get used to the feeling of the gun poking me in the hip.

    Holster material?

Is there an benefit to a leather holster? I'm not a fan of leather, I like the ballistic nylon... But most holsters I see people actually using are leather. My girlfriend has a holster for her purse that's made of out neoprene like a diving wetsuit.

    Shelf life of ammo?

I have 50 Rds of personal protection ammo. Hopefully I will never have to use it. How long can I keep it around before I should consider it unreliable? I know people are shooting military surplus from decades ago... Then again, I've been told one year... MAX Whom should I trust? What can I do...

Do you know where your finger is? (Safety first)

When any of you were new to guns, did you have to break BAD habits? Not your stance or flinching or something like that, I'm talking REALLY BAD ones... I've got one that needs to be broken RIGHT NOW. I think judging by the title, you can guess what that is. Not only do I find my finger on the...

Get involved or mind your own?

Suppose you witness a crime in progress. Some woman in a dark alley getting assaulted. Guy getting the crap beat out of him on the ground by a bunch of thugs. You're carrying. To what extent can you get involved? If you yell, "Hey! Stop that!" and they turn their attack towards you, thereby...

    AK-47 Noob

I'm totally new to the gun scene in general, but I'm interested in the AK-47. I'm interested mainly because it's got the reputation for being tough, reliable, and rather inexpensive as compared to other assault rifles. It seems that I might need to step up this interest because of the threat...

From a VA resident: Why live in MD?

I'm just curious as to why anyone would want to live in Maryland. I live in Virginia and work throughout the Washington D.C. metro area including Montgomery and PG counties, the District itself, and Fairfax County, Virginia... I can't for the life of me figure out why anyone would want to live...

    Back to Basics.

So my introductory thread title was, "Bullets go in the general direction of paper." That's pretty much how I do it. Clip my paper plate (cheaper than targets) to the holder, send it out to 7 yards, pop in a magazine, and let the lead fly. So far, I've been to the range a handfull of times and...
